Youth Conversion Experience Retreat

Are you searching for joy or happiness in your life?

Or some reprieve from all the stresses and pressures? Maybe you are about to make some big decisions and long for some direction; or have some questions about the faith? Well, wherever you find yourself, we invite you to spend some time discovering who God is and what He has to say about us and our lives!

Retreat prerequisites? None. Just come as you are!

You don’t need to bring your merits, your achievements or your credentials. The Lord doesn’t care for any of those; He just desires to spend some time with you. In this 4-days retreat, we will journey together through life-giving sessions and powerful celebrations of the Sacraments and paraliturgies.

If you are a Catholic young adult between 18 to 29 years, our hope is that this retreat will allow you to experience the unconditional love of God in an intimate and tangible way and empower you to face difficult challenges and live a life driven by God’s purpose and meaning.

In view of the developing situation (COVID-19) and with the Ministry of Health’s and Archdiocese’s advisories regarding large gatherings, the upcoming YCER#17 (18 – 21 June 2020) will be postponed.

We have yet to determine a new set of dates at this point. Further updates will be posted here on our website.

We apologise for this unfortunate inconvenience and we look forward to the next possible dates for YCER#17.

Let us continue to pray for the containment of the virus, for those who have been infected, for the medical and support teams handling the situation, and for our general well-being.

Thank you and God bless.

Registration is via way of balloting. For more details about registration, please refer to the Registration tab.

If you have been balloted into the main list, your registration is confirmed and successful. For the waitlist, we will inform you once there’s a space available.

Registration for YCER #16 will close when there are no available spaces left. You may refer to our CSC Facebook page for regular updates.

If you are below 21 years of age as at 13 June 2019, please download and complete Form B.

If you are 21 years of age and above as at 13 June 2019, please download and complete Form C.

YCER is a continuous stay-in programme. Every part of the programme links to and sets up the next. Much like watching a movie- it’s hard to follow the plot if you miss parts of it. To reap the maximum benefits from this camp, please ensure that you are able to attend the full retreat. If you are unable to be present throughout the entire duration of the retreat, we encourage you to sign up for other programmes in CSC.

The YCER programme is designed for baptised Catholics. Given the religious intensity of the retreat programme, it is best to attend YCER after you have gone for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Youth/Adults (RCIY/RCIA) in order to benefit from the retreat. To find out more about RCIY/RCIA, please contact your nearest Catholic parish.

Registration priority goes to first-time participants of YCER. However, you may wish to attend other retreats hosted by the Catholic Spirituality Centre.

As YCER has been positioned to reach out to young adults aged 18-29 years old, you will have to be at least 18 years of age in order to participate in YCER.

We regret that your registration is non-transferable and non-refundable. If you are unable to make it, the place will be given to the next person on the waitlist.

Contact us at and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

“I used to feel alone and isolated in my struggles with my faith, but coming to this retreat made me realize that there are many others like me who share the same burdens and suffering, giving me hope that I can turn my life around and grow closer to God.”

“The praise and worship impacted me the most and it allowed me to relate to all my brokenness and it really helped with the healing and knowing God’s presence. Through worship, I saw how much God loves me.”

“During the last day of the camp, I felt the Holy Spirit come fill my heart and there was joy in my heart, and the burden of being distant from God was lifted. After so long, I can finally tell you – I am at peace and I am alive. With a new heart, I can finally praise God, with my entire being. Thank you God.”

“I realised how important community is, having spent 4 days sharing with a group full of love, support and encouragement for each other. It reminded me that on my journey towards a Christ-centered life, I won’t be able to do it without a group of people following me and walking alongside me.”

“At the end of it all, I felt myself steadily and gradually surrendering my entirety to the Lord, to stop fearing Him and eventually really making the firm decision that I don’t want to let my spiritual journey end here.”

“I received inner healing of my identity. In addition, I received a clearer answer to my vocation in life, and though I may be scared, I’m willing to open my heart to receive Him and His will.”

“During these 4 days, I was finally able to let go and forgive myself for my shame and guilt of my past sins that had been unconsciously holding me back from being God’s vessel. I was healed of these wounds that I did not realise had even existed! Even more amazingly, I was given the grace to love God completely in the Blessed Sacrament with the awe and wonder of a child coming to know God for the first time, I truly thank and praise God for all the good gifts He has blessed me with, and I am so thankful for having experienced this at AWAKEN.”
