There are several ministry opportunities at CSC where you can go deeper in your faith, share your spiritual gifts, build relationships and make lasting friendships. Below you will find a listing of our ministries and the people that they serve.
As part of the journey and in line with CSC’s mission to transform lives through evangelization, Ministry members are empowered through the programs and activities built on the Conversion Experience Retreat to deepen their spiritual formation. Anyone desiring to be part of the CSC Community should thus have a heart for prayer, and a deep desire to grow in faith through community to be Praying and Loving disciples zealous in mission.
The Healing Prayer Ministry (HPM) of the Catholic Spirituality Centre (CSC) seeks to help you experience the healing love and redeeming power of God through prayer and the Word of God. We are dedicated to praying with those in need of healing, especially in the emotional and spiritual areas of their lives.
The Intercession Ministry supports CSC’s mission and vision to be a house of prayer and intercession. Members commit to weekly prayer sessions, with a special focus on onsite intercession during CSC retreats. The Ministry also prays for the conversion of hearts and renewal of the Church, as well as the broader needs of the Archdiocese of Singapore. All are welcome to join the Intercession Ministry’s sessions held at the following times:
10am: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
8pm: Tuesday
Note: No session on public holidays. Check the CSC website and notice board for onsite intercessory prayer times during retreats.
The Hospitality Ministry supports the mission of CSC by creating a welcoming atmosphere at all CSC events and retreats. Besides welcoming visitors and retreatants, the hospitality ministry also train and provide group facilitators or ‘Buddies’ to serve at CER retreats. These roles provide small but crucial touchpoints for people to encounter the love of God.
The Operations Ministry supports the mission of CSC by overseeing maintenance and the general upkeep of CSC. These dedicated men and women play major roles during retreats in providing logistical support and housekeeping of accommodation facilities to ensure guests and retreatants enjoy a clean, comfortable and distraction-free experience.
The Liturgy Ministry supports the mission of CSC by providing support for all liturgical celebrations, retreats and events. Their wide-ranging roles and responsibilities include providing Altar Servers, Communion Ministers, Lectors, Wardens and Sacristans. Liturgy Ministry members are also involved in CSC retreats as Coordinators and ‘Buddíes’ and provide ground support at the various events held at the centre.
The Kitchen & Services Ministry supports the mission of CSC by providing refreshments and meals at CSC events and retreats. An essential expression of hospitality, KSM members assist with food planning, preparation and service as well as the upkeep of kitchen facilities and safety standards. Between retreats and events, members gather monthly for worship, scripture reflections and group sharing.
The Music Ministry supports the mission of CSC by creating an atmosphere of prayer, celebration and reverence to God through music at CSC retreats and events. Areas of service include retreat facilitation, leading praise & worship, playing a musical instrument, vocals, sound management, operating presentation softwares, camera management, IT and song administration (CCLI).
The Media Ministry supports the mission of CSC through the maintenance of various information media and communications platforms including website, Facebook & telegram. Ministry members are involved in the recording, production and distribution of audio resources, as well as photography coverage and live-streaming for CSC retreats and events.
